Hi. I disputed an account with NATLCRSYS that showed on my credit report as included in chapter 13 bankruptcy. I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 1998 and did include this account in the bankruptcy. It is reporting as Chapter 13, so I disputed as I have never filed Chapter 13 bankruptcy. I disputed with transunion and they said that they updated it as follows:

    Updated 04/2003
    Balance $0
Status as of 04/2003: Wage earner or similar plan.

I would love to delete this off my credit report, but should I just let them know it was included in Chapter 7 bankruptcy - will this make a difference?

Isn't that status statement just another way of saying Chapter 13? And if the balance is -0- how can you be in a payment plan?

Exactly! I have read on here that you can get a CRA to verify how they verified the information. Should I do that, or what should my next step be?

Yea, a Procedures Request would be a good next step. Need to build a paper trail.
