I applied for Generations thinking with my *663* TransUnion score, I shouldn't have a problem. Well, like other posters on this board, the score TransUnion generated for Generations Bank was only 593???? How can this be? I had four inquiries on that report in the past two years. No derogatory credit information, no late pays, etc. and 15 positive tradelines. How is it possible that my score was only 593???? Geez...this is depressing. L
What they do is take the info contained in your TU report and input it into their own scoring model and come up with their own b.s. score. I wouldn't let it bother you. Also, you are aware that they TU score given to us is nonsense.
That is strange because mine that Generations got was actually about 22 pts higher than what I saw on TU. So, did they decline you? Bank of America and Chase both check TU as well. However Chase declined for "excessive inquiries" 4 including theirs ..oh well it's their loss.
Yes, they declined. They decline anyone under a 650. Chase and BofA declined me too. I give up. I'm paying off most of my cc's and getting rid of the inquiries before I apply for one more thing...even if that means waiting two years for the inquiries to fall off...lol. L
I think they count the most the first 6 months. I would think wait until your CC's are paid off and let your inquiries age just a bit and you should be fine. I now have so many inquiries I can't get approved for anything either, but I did get about $35K in new credit IMMEDIATELY after my reports cleared from the suits. I was able to get ALL inquiries deleted with my settlements so that helped.
