Transunion takes longer than any all the any other CBs to update

I paid for a Transunion Credit Report because I thought there was current loan that was being reported wrong by a Bank and I wanted to confirm what was being reported. After a long confrontation with that Bank they stated they changed the statement that the Loan was Closed and on a Chapt. 13 Payment Plan. the last payment showed on the report 4/11 But I'm not in Chapt.13! and I've never been late!

I've disputed this, and spoke to the Bank and their response is that Transunion is the the slowest of all 3 to update anything ! Can this be at all true? Or are they just feeding me a line of BS? The other CBs don't say I'm in Chapt.13. When I tried to call Transunion in Chester,PA. I got some Indian sounding woman in Bombay or Pakistan who said she worked for Transunion but she was not in the US. I could barely understand what she was saying! And she said it would take up to 30-45 days to straighten this error out. This is insane! Meanwhile my score is in toilet and someone will think I'm in Chapt.13, when I'm not!

TU is often the slowest of the CRAs to remove disputed items. Since you've officially disputed through TU, the best you can do is wait and give them the 30-45 days to investigate the dispute. Did you receive confirmation that your dispute was received?

I must suppose you mean that Transunion recieved & confirmed my dispute on that Bogus Chapt. 13 Payment Plan/ Closed on an open account & I'm not in any kind of BK! YES!!! And Transunion is the only one out the 3 that has this Negative. But I guess you're right because the Bank rep. told me right after I got off the phone with the Transunion Rep. and she said they updated the file but Transunion might take up to 30 days to change the entry on their end.

If the bank confirmed that they updated your credit reports and TU confirmed that they received your dispute as well, I think it's just a matter of time before it gets corrected. Nothing moves fast in the credit reporting world, so just give it a bit more time.
