Called today to try and get inquiries off my report, and the rep. from TransUnion said they don't investigate inquiries. I am baffled, especially since I told her they have to investigate any information that is incorrect. I wish the process would be easier. Actually, I wish inquiries weren't part of a credit report at all, because even a little shopping around will hurt your credit score!

Matty.. you've been here long enough... do a search... there is a method here for getting those off without an investigation.

The searches say the same things I'm asking right now! I just want some advice. I already searched, and didn't find anything of relevance.

And Matty, when you find out how to do it, please direct me to it also. I have inquiries that need to be taken off from Trans Union as well. Thanks.

The idea came from BKEV. This is exactly what he posted I am just quoting it:

"Trans Union... yes, try an online dispute. List the name of the creditor, with the date of the inquiry as the account number... check the other box as the reason and say never applied for credit- delete. They usually will delete immediately and send you an updated copy of the report with 5-7 business days."

I know a lot of people have tried variations of this approach. But if you do it exactly as described a the aboth it should work. Worked for me also.

I have used this method twice and nothing!!. No inquires were deleted. They advised me to contact the creditors directly. I am in FL.
