I am furious, I received a letter today from a dispute i sent TU last week, on this letter they basically acuse me of or "they think" I could be using a credit repair company and they want me to submit the request for validation on a form they provide.

What really bothers me is that if I fill out tyheir darn form then they say they are entitled to a aditional 15 days to conduct their investigation. So instead of 30 days they get 45. Is there a way to strong arm them to conply to my original request for validation or em I scrwed while being acused of havign a credit repair company clean my credit for me. This is a nother stall tactic.

Where can I complain abouit this frivolous crap?

    Thanks

    Try This

You may also want to add a note that the information you are providing is not 'new' and therefore the orignal 30 day deadline is still active.

"If you think I'm too STUPID TO DISPUTE ON MY OWN...you are stupider than I thought"

"You still have 30 days TOTAL to investigate"

    "Your CRO letter is FRIVOLOUS"

The couple of times I got that I just ignored it.
They then sent their report and I sent for procedures.

i didn't know there was a law stating you had to use their form in order for them to investigate.....

all this time i've been doing it illegally....

i think the person who said to tell them they still only have the original 30 days is right on.

secondly, i didn't know it was against the law to use a credit repair agency. i know lots of people who use them.

THERE IS NO LAW THAT SAYS YOU MUST USE THEIR "FORM"

    CRO'S are not ILLEGAL

It is USUALLY cheaper to do it yourself---AND you can do a better job...

It's not against the law to send your disputes in a letter instead of on their form.

It's not against the law to use a credit repair agency AS LONG AS you don't pay them in advance for deletions. That's why most charge a monthly "maintenance" fee and then charge for deletions after they happen.

I agree with the several other posters. Send some sort of letter that states that there is no new information, and the 30-day clock is rapidly ticking away.

    heres a thought:

are they refusing to investigate because they think this person may be using a credit repair agency and if so, wouldn't that be considered discrimination?

if i don't understand credit reports and i hire XYZ repair agency to help me fix some errors, trans union will not help me as long as i have XYZ helping me?

oh, what a twisted plot they weave....

"IF" you are convinced that CRO'S are ILLEGAL...YOU WILL STOP FIXING YOUR CREDIT ALL-TOGETHER AND THEY WIN!!!

They (CRA's) still "THINK" that they have NO OBLIGATION to fix what they were told to print by the CREDIT CARD/LOAN COMPANIES!!!

    IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT!!!

"IF" they (CRA'S) could be PUT OUT OF BUSINESS because of all the complaints against them...MAYBE they would start to listen to CONSUMERS...

BUT they know they are NOT going to be shut down any time soon!!!

way back when (ok only 7 years ago) at my company you would get written up/fired if you disclosed to a consumer their score. apparently at one time it was in the agreement between the CRAs and the companies that use credit bureaus.

IT MAY BE IN AN AGREEMENT---BUT IT IS NOT A LAW!!!

Did you SIGN agreeing to that???

A "HOT SHOT LAWYER" would love to take on that case if you got FIRED!!! Maybe even PRO BONO!!!

have no idea...when i started at the company i had little knowledge of what a CRA was!

to me, i went to the bank and they told me if i could get money or not :):):)

if i knew then what i know now, i would have done some things differently.

The Wizard of Oz (CRAs) are not as powerful as they would like you to believe. And once they find that you have the courage to challenge their accuracy concerning "your" credit report they assume that you have no brain and some girl name Dorothy must be guding you.

But people who have heart and half a brain can do their own credit repair. People who are willing to create their own course and "not" follow the yellow brick road will find their share of creitics.

    Keep the faith.

    I love Experian's new line...

"excuse me sir, would you let me finish" over and over and over they repeat that no matter what you say. they are wrong and they know it. I had to ask if a ghost signed the green card I sent them since they refuse to acknowledge getting it.

Re: Re: Re: Re: TransUnion, WTF is

At this point can someone point me to a letter to send them, telling them the clock is ticking and if they refuse to allow me my rightsunder the law then I will sue the living crap out of them.

Has this been challenged before, I would imagine that a judge would not look me for being frivolous because I simply requested something checked on a report. Or is it a waste of time and I should simmply send their crapy paper and then be scrwed out another 15 days or 30 who lknows how they will handlle it?
