Just today, I received a copy of my TransUnion report, and have a question about how a few accounts are being reported.

I just opened an American Eagle retail account through online, instant approval, and it appears on the report. Updated, 8/2000, opened, 8/2000. Status as of 8/2000, paid or paying as agreed. In prior 12 months from date verified never late.

Now, I haven't even had the account a week, and it says that in the past 12 months, I've been paid or paying as agreed! When FICO looks at an account, does it analyze that piece of data, or the account opened date. My NextCard account is similar (opened for 6 months, says prior 23 months)??
