Well, I sent a "not me" dispute letter to TU, on an account that had already been verified about a year ago when I was a client with Lexington Law. It came back as a "Frivolous" dispute. Any suggestions on how I should continue with this? Thanks!
Dispute other ways. I never opened an account with x on xxx date. Wrong DOLA, I do not owe xxx $$$, you have to get creative.
Get this BS from TU. My wife closed Chase CC in 07/2002 and re-opened in 02/2003. Chase updates balance every month but TU report it still as ACCOUNT CLOSED BY CONSUMER. She sent dispute to TU requesting to report account as OPEN. Few days later the letter from TU shows up: --------------------------------------------------- Re: Dispute Status Our records show that your creditor(s) previously verified as accurate the items that are listed below. Therefore, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, we consider this dispute frivolous and we will not reinvestigate the item(s) unless you can provide court papers or a recent, authentic letter from the creditor(s) that explains what information should be updated. ----------------------------------------------------- What a BUNCH OF IDIOTS AT TU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She just wanted open account to be reported as open. And they know it and they see it's open because Chase updates balance every month. But TU report it as CLOSED and tells my wife her dispute is frivolous. How to prove that account is open ??? And why she needs to send them anything. It's their job to find out with Chase if it's open or closed. So far they refuse it. And they put it in the writing.
Re: Re: Transunion TU *IS* incredible! Their scoring system and the explanations that go along with the scores are from outer space. They told me that one of the items counting against me was that my department store balance was too high compared to others in the same category (or words to that effect). My friggin balance was zero!!! Now the good news. Their score is ignored by creditors (straight from TU's mouth). I wonder why? <g>
Re: Re: Transunion As a point of clarification, I remember the TU CSR saying that creditors don't even see the TU score...
Re: Re: Transunion TRANS UNION IS~~FRIVOLOUS GEORGE~~A.K.A ===================== So is Fair Ike and credit reports.
