I have the dubious honor of being in Transunion's "other" department. Whenever I have questions about my credit report, the CSR has no info at all to tell me and that this "other" dept has all my info. They wont give me that dept's extension or that dept's phone number or even its name!. Apparently its secret or classified. It seems to me not only childish but illegal?? I always get a voicemail when transferred to a "Chester in Consumer Relations" but dont leave any message when I guess I should (?)...

I sent a few CMRR letters on several deletions (no more than 5 per letter) to Transunion and got back all the green postcards...in the letters I wrote to them procedural request and demanded proof or delete ASAP...I get a letter a week later showing me the names and addresses of creditors and to contact them and not a full updated report as requested...

Now I know others on this board have had similar experiences...and calling them as stated above does no good...what would be the next best thing to do now?
And how can I find out anything by phone with them if they play this "other" dept game nonsense??

You have entered....the special processing zone (SPZ). You can have the person handling your file call you back. I've left a message before and they did call me back.

As always, GEORGE provides us with the answers that we so love...

I'm just surprised he didn't say to write back saying
"They told me to contact you, and if you want me to contact them again to do your job, please send $1,000.00 + postage & handling @ $5.00 per letter + $25.00 an hour compensation." ;>
