This morning I decided to call EX to do a couple of disptes. I was notified that I was being transferred to their "special agent" who works in some I assume "special" department. She seem sreally intense, yet professional and couteous. She asks about previous addresses and I deny they are mine, bam! They're gone. Any pesonal info I don't want is taken off immediately. I had a couple of inq's from Bofa, bam! Taken off. I think I know why. I had a collections wih AMEX for a corporate card balance my former job screwed me with. It took a while, but AMEX recognized I got screwed and sent me a letter saying they would delete it. i sent a stern letter to EX about verifying false info (with a copy of the letter from AMEX). This was about a month ago. Since then, about three collections have rolled off, and no lates are reporting on two accounts. She did put a fraud alert on my account though. I'll probably just call and have it removed. But, it was like instant gratification. I could tell she had the power to change stuff rigt then, and she did. I used to loathe EX, now I'm on a first name basis. You have to have actual items that really don't belong to you to have the best effects. Hope this helps someone out, or gives hope to those who hit the "previously investigated" brick wall with EX.
