I realize that many of you swear by Truecredit.com for getting your credit reports. As a matter of fact it was what I read here that sort of swayed me in their direction but when you have a problem with a service and you can't get past their telephone BS all you can do is discredit their good name which is exactly what I am doing here.

A couple of weeks ago my wife signed me and her up with a different 3 in one credit reporting service and I got good reports from them with all the information there in an easy to read format. The problem I had with them was I couldn't update every few days like you can with Truecredit. I canceled that service and started looking for a new one. Everybody here who uses Truecredit seemed to be happy with the service so I went with them.

Well, Thursday evening I signed myself up with Truecredit.com and got my first report. It came in a slightly different format than I was used to but I soon got used to it. Then I noticed a few of the accounts showed up with no name at the top. All the information was there but no name of the creditor or collection agency. I'm thinking how is this useful to me? I called Truecredit and got a guy on the phone who's first response was that all the information was there, then when I made him go over the report line by line with me he agreed. Then he tried to say the credit breaus didn't provide
the missing information. I told him I knew that was BS because the service I used previously had all the information on their reports. After a few minutes argueing I told him I wanted to cancel the service and he pleaded with me to let him send it to technical support and they would fix it in a couple of days. I agreed.

Well Saturday I wanted to see if I ordered a report on my wife if it would come out right. I ordered one and got the same results, missing fields. Once again I imediatly called and raised hell. The lady on the phone gave me a number to call and told me to call it Monday morning. This morning I called, took a half hour on hold before I got anybody but I was patient. When I got a lady on the phone and explained the situation she told me the same BS story that the credit beauros were not sending them all the information and they could only report what they were getting. Once again called her on it because I told her the previous service we used didn't seem to have this problem. I told her to cancel our service. She said she would but the charges would stay on my credit card. I explained that the services they provided
are worthless to me and the charges should be removed. She said that they provided me with 3 credit reports and the charges would remain. My point is they did not provide the services they promissed which would be 3 (useable) credit reports, I think one can honestly assume (useable) as a given in any dealings. I am not trying to get away with not paying for a service, just after seeing what they are providing it is useless to me without the names of all the creditors reporting on my report.

So I finally informed her that I would be posting my dissatisfaction on every internet site I can find and would be contacting my credit card company to dispute the charges to my credit card. What really bugs me is she could understand my point and understood what they gave me was useless but she didn't care because she felt there was nothing I could do about it. In my line of work if you contract to do a job or provide a service and you can not for any reason provide a suitable product you don't get paid reguardless of the reason. For them to claim they have fulfilled their end of the bargan
is just plain wrong. I know for a fact all that information is on my credit beauro reports, so even if they are telling the truth and are not receiving all the information they still have not performed their end which is to provide me with 3 good credit reports.

Anyway has anybody else experienced this with Truecredit, missing information mainly the name or title at the top of a tradeline?

Yup - but remember those people on the phone are somewhere in India or Pakistan. They probably don't understand what you're talking about.

I've had tradelines that reported that way. But every time, it was a medical collection. When the collection agencies report medical collections some fields are "protected" and it appears to screw up TrueCredit and some other third-party reporting systems.

Like you, I've found it impossible to get tech support from TrueCredit. But when I decided to cancel it was easy to do and they promptly refunded the charge for the month in which I canceled.

I went back to TrueCredit because I couldn't find anything that worked better.

Oh, and the solution to your problem: Get your free credit reports directly from the CRA's via annualcreditreport.com. Those reports will have the full info on all the accounts. Once you have that, it is easy to match up the accounts to the ones on TrueCredit. That's what I did.

I've been with them for about 2 months and havent had any problems with account names or anything missing, or logging in. Sounds odd that would happen.

I have lots of problems with their billing. Just today they sent me an email saying that they could not process my payment that was due today, because my payment was rejected for a zip code that didn't match with my bank info. I checked my billing information with truecredit, and it is 100% correct. They attempted to put the charge through again, and again said it was declined. I called my bank, and they said that they did not decline any payments, and that actually, 5 truecredit charges have gone through today. I have been with truecredit for 3 years, and this is the third time this has happened. Everything will go along just fine for months, and then I will get an email saying that there is a problem with my billing info. I then change to a differnt credit card, and again, it goes along fine for a few months, and then it happens again. I wish I could find another service that allows checking credit reports daily, and then I could just stop dealing with them. Each time this happens, they cancel me for non-payment, despite the fact that they bill me multiple times, and then I have to dispute the charges with my bank, and then sign up with truecredit again with a different acount. It is really very annoying, and they have no explanation.

i have not had this issue with them... my problem has always been not being able to access my reports due to some technical errors that do not effect every one at the same time... strange i know...

I taked to them again yesterday, and the rep mentioned that they have been upgrading heir system because they have had various glitches in the past with people's accounts, and they are trying to minimize the problems. So that is at least a good thing. And, after verifying that my bank removed all truecredit charges from a couple of days ago, I signed up with truecredit again, using the same card that they said was declined, and it went through with no problem. So for at least the next month I'm good...who knows what will happen when they try to bil me in a month. I really would not bother with them at all, but I am in the midst of credit clean-up, and like to get reports every couple of days. As far as I know, there is no other product that offers updates as frequently.

Sorry to hear everyone is having trouble. I've been using TrueCredit for about six months now with no problems whatsoever. Billing is always spot-on, reports are readable, navigation is easy, service is always available, etc. The daily soft pulls are even (hopefully) helping me bump some hard pulls from the past two years. Their 3-in-1 isn't nearly as detailed as actually pulling all 3 reports, but it's more than adequate for someone working on cleaning up their report.
