I tried to obtain my credit report ove the phone. Experian sent me one out no problem. TRW and Equifax says my credit info is no on file, to send $9 plus a copy of my Drivers License, ss# etc. What should I do? I have BTW been turned down in the past 60 days. Are the CRA addresses at http://www.awesomecredit.com/faq.htm#AddressFax up to date? They gave me different ones over the phone. It about time so send out some dispute letters. Will a certified letter return receipt be accepted at a PO Box? Many thanks, Steve
If you were turned down for credit, did you received the required Adverse Action Notice? This should indicate the reason you were turned down, and which credit reports were pulled. You can also send a copy with your request for your free credit report.
Hi Deleto, I'd send them a copy of the declination letter, a request for a copy of your report, (NOTARIZED), and a copy of your SS card, NO MONEY. And send CRRR. They do have a right to make you prove your identity, so go ahead. A Notarized letter pressumes that a notary checked your ID and found you to be who you say you are. Your bank will do it free. ALSO - Please input your contact information so I can update the FAQ. These guy's keep moving around all the time. Thanks. .
Re: Re: TRW and Equifax Wants Money Equifax on the recording to send in ID was Box 105252 Atlanta, GA 30348. Transunion was Box 1000 Chester, PA 19022 BTW, will sending a Certified Return Receipt letter to a PO Box work?

Re: Re: Re: TRW and Equifax Wants Money I didn't think a representative of the CRA would be at a PO Box location. No one at my I wouldn't give anyone at my PO box authority to sign for me. Even the security guards at my building aren't allowed to sign a RR. BTW, now that we're on the subject. Has anyone brought to court just the certified proof they sent the letter? I would think a judge would accept that as proof anyway. Why is it that CA's don't have to prove service to get a judgement but we have to prove every letter we send at $4 a pop?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: TRW and Equifax Wants Money It may be a sham but there it is on my public records and will be there forever.
