I posted this last night, and it showed that it had posted, but some reason it is gone now??? So I am trying again. Here is where I am at. I am ready to start disputing with the CRA's. I have read a lot on here and has been a lot of help, but am still a little afraid to do something different without some input first. I don't seem to get much input either...maybe I need to have a better Subject title?? Anyway..here are a few of my questions. 1) Where can I find the Addresses for the CRA's that I need to send the disputes to.? 2) I need to send disputes re: 3 different CC accounts to all 3 CRA's. I read somewhere on here that you shouldn't dispute more than 1 thing every 90 days. IS this true?? 3) I sent a first validation letter to a Citi acc. and they sent back just some copies of statements. No signatures, etc. I know this isn't a true validation, but am unsure how to proceed with them. ( they are the first ones to even give me any response at all) Do I send a 2nd Validation letter or go ahead and dispute account with the CRA's???? 4) Am not sure which letter to send to the CRA's. Should I use the dispute letter in the sample letters? Does anyone have one they have had good luck with?? I can use all the luck I can get. I'm sorry for so many questions.. I appreciate everyone on here and hope several will reply. I never seem to get a very big response to my posts. Thanks
Missy, try this, www.creditboards.com go to "Sample Letters Forum", then to "Index and starting point" by Sassy. I know this is very confusing. I have someone doing our credit repair for this exact reason. It may come easy for others, but you validate my insecurities of credit repair on my own, and yes I WAS blonde.......LOLThere is great info on both boards, also try dixiedrifter at crdeitboards and mannequin, mann posts on both boards.......Lots of great info
I believe you can find them on their respective websites. www.transunion.com www.experian.com www.equifax.com No, you can send all three at once. Citi, as an OC, doesn't have to validate. Can you give us more details? Is it a charge off? If so, when was the DOLA, and what state are you in. Keep it simple, and I would just write my own.
You can do disputes online for free. Or you can go to their individual websites and get their address and send them a letter in the mail. Whichever you prefer. www.equifax.com www.transunion.com www.experian.com Go to the "sample letters" area and copy and paste a template to your WORD and edit it to fit your situation. And I've had NO troubles disputing everything all at once. Saves time and it is taken care of all together.
jlynn..the Citi Account, I am not sure of the DOLA, I think around March 2003. I live in Indiana. I sent for validation from the CA, but it looked as though Citi had sent these copies of statements? Also...how long after you send the disputes to the CRA's, do you hear anything back??? Thanks for the responses....
