dilemma: i have 4 "collections" on my CR. all under $200 (medical stuff) and 3 are paid and one unpaid. the same CA that i paid the other 3 off is looking for payment for the last one ($156). can i negotiate to have all "collections" deleted in lieu of payment on this final one or would it be in my best interest to do that? no derogatory info is on the CR -- all are annotated as "Paid." thanks again for your help and i am on my way to "recovery" thanks to this site.
There is some great info posted by WhyChat (I think I remembered correctly this time). Do a search of HIPAA. that is how I found it. It has letters and detail of what to do. Someone else might have a direct link, I'm sorry I do not. Michelle
