The account went into collections and was charged off, we paid off the account already knowing that it was already on our credit report? Was this the smart move? Not the brightest move, but I see at least one person a week complain of the same thing so don't feel alone. To get rid of it you will need to dispute with the credit bureaus. If they still don't want to delete then your gonna have to file a lawsuit. Pleading generally does not work, OC's and CA's have very little sympathy.
