I was not aware of that this message board existed until after I went through a credit repair agency to furnish dipute letters to repair my credit.

It has been 6 months and I've been quite successful in deleting tradelines for several accounts which were charged off or sent to collections in 1999.

Recently however, I received a letter from TU stating that they received a dispute regarding my credit report from the credit repair agency. They stated in the letter that they DO NOT take action from credit repair agencies unless accompanied with a notarized power of attorney.

My question is can they do this? So I really need a notarized POA? Also, I've made many attempts to contact the credit repair agency and apparently their customer service number is not available. (The company is still up and running and I can still access my account information online).

Also, I'm thinking of over the dispute process based on all of the helpful information on this board. Maybe these disputes will look more authentic if I were to hand write them myself.
