Looking at my report and trying to figure out some tradelines that I think have been re-aging, I want to ask a couple questions about their UPDATED date.

When you dispute an account with the CRA (TU in this case), they should, by law, contact the CA/OC in reference to said account, correct? If after the results of the investigation, the account comes back "verified, no change" or "updated, new information below" etc. Shoouldn't the tradeline show the updated date as the month the investigation took place, IE this month.

Example. I disputed 4 OC tradelines on June 1, 2003 (6-03). I recieved the results of the investigation on July 1, 2003 (7-03). 3 OC's verified, no change, 1 OC has new information below. On 2 of the TL's the updated date says 6-03, which in my opinion, tells me that they may have contacted the creditor and done their job, at least the date is current. The other 2 TL which came back verified, and new info below, still have an updated date of 5-03. Last month before I even disputed.

How could the updated date not change from last month to being verified this month? I am looking to get more leverage for deletions of these tradelines that keep re-aging. Would this information be safe to assume?
