I have read several posts that suggested the bumpage theory may work on TU. Has anyone confirmed this, if so, how did you do it?

When I pull my report online, it generates a soft inq which is recorded in a separate section of the report. I don't see how this works. Please educate me!

I have had the same experience with TU.

All the pulls I have done are recorded as softs and I have yet to see any "bumpage"

    Has anyone had any success?

There was a new poster claiming to have found some way to get BUMPAGE going on TU. Can't find thread though.

Queen Bee, was that the infamous post requesting the "elite" of creditnet to try the idea? If so, I don't think that ever materialized.

Were you thinking of something else?

That was an idiot troll who used the name inquires and titled the thread inquires. The board shut him down.

Tu bumps. I know they do. I just cannot figure out the exact reason it is working. I have bumped off about 3 dozen hards in the last month(yah yah I know but I did not put them all their either) and I am not sure how it is working.

Picantel, are you doing anything to initiate these bumps? Are you pulling the report everyday? Accessing the same report online everyday by using the password and logon info? Any ideas at all?

I get bumpage too, but can't figure out how why or when. It seems like my inquiries fall off after about two months.

I have experienced very little relief from the 2 year rule at TU. The best I can do is dispute inquiries when they have 90 days or less before they expire. They have always deleted them at that point. So, basically, I can get away with 21 months instead of 24. That rule has worked like clockwork, but so what? Doesn't help much!

Wolverine, are you pulling your report every day? Can you draw any conclusions from the deletions on your file?

I call in alot to TU. I am a pain in the butt but I have a right to call. I am under the theory that calling may bump it but I call because there is a collection that the CA sent a week and a half ago by fax to their fax number stating deletion and to this date TU states they have not received it. Yah right. I also have it under dispute so if they verify they can kiss a $1000 goodbye.

Kara, are the missing inq's hard or soft?

How many hards/softs do you have on your TU reports? I can't call them, because my affiliate doesn't accept phone calls, so I hope that's not how the bumpage works. I don't have as many total inquiries as my other reports, but I have way more hards!

Kara, also are you pulling a completely new report every day or are you just accessing the same report through the password and login for several days at a time?

I have noticed that if you pull every day at least lately I get the same file number each time even though the report is 'new'. I also noticed that any TU disclosures you make may take a few days to hit and the bumpage actually happens maybe every 4 days give or take so maybe it updates on certain days.I have a total of 89 inquiries but this includes everything in the regular inquiry section, promos, and ARs which has each TU pull. I have noticed the more softs appear in the AR and TU section the more hards go bye bye but bumpage will also take off TU disclosures as well. Wouldn't it be great if you could go so many AR and PRM inquiries that it would take just one pull to bump a hard. Ahhh I can dream.

Picantel, have you been pulling your TU report online through "I've been denied credit ....?" Does it let you pull every day?

I have really tried to avoid pulling TU too much in that way. I had no real reason for thinking that way except I didn't want to draw attention to myself.

I just counted my TU inquiries. Hard, soft, PRM, AR all combined total 75. Of these only 3 are hard.

Yah I use denied credit. I figure they keep letting everyone and their mother pull a hard on me and refuse to do anything about it so it is only fair I pull to remove those hards. It says in the FCRA you can dispute any info but TU and experian seems to think the rules do not apply to them. Well my dispute is out and in 30 days I will demand they remove them and if they do not we will see if the FCRA does indeed apply to them. I am dying to try out those lying experian people in court.

So I am the person that everybody shut down?

Well since you shut me down, then I can't explain why 4-5 inquiries fall off every monday can I???????????????????????????????????

It doesn't pay to be a jerk. All I was doing was trying to figure out the TU bumpage so I can perfect it then share it. Oh well you lose.

if 50 people say you are a jerk, and one person says you are not, are you a jerk?
