TU-deleted vs. no longer on file...

    how are these 2 results different...in viewing my report the deleted item was deleted and the "no longer on file" remains...perplexed!?!

    Only thing I can think of is "no longer on file" simply means it was previously removed (before you disputed) or it hit the 7 year mark, and simply fell off.

    The same thing has happened to me. A item was previously deleted. Then a later report came with the statement "no longer on file". I'm a little confused to.

    Hi,

    Would a creditor see the statement 'no longer on file' and think that something bad was there previously, and decline your application?
