ok. any thoughts on this. Tu arbitrarily has deleted a positive tradeline. It is an open account and still active. I called Tu to dispute and request it be put back on. they said I can't do that, the creditor directly has to put it on and I can't even start an investigation. they can't even tell me why it's not on there. they passed the buck and said the creditor must have stopped reporting it. the creditor is still currently reporting it to the other 2 cras. the creditor says they're still reporting all tradelines to Tu I am sick of the pass the buck game. any thoughts? other than another lawsuit... I also asked Tu, even if the creditor stopped reporting the tradeline, wouldn't it just stay for the 10 years positive time. they said no, if it's tape reported and just stops without an account closed notation, you lose the positive tradeline completely. this seems like bs to me... but I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this oddity. The account just hit 3 years so it would help me max points and help my ave account aging.
Marie, When using Junum, they deleted 4 positive accounts. They wouldn't put them back on. I had to go above and beyond the regular rep. to get 2 put back on. They claimed once it was deleted, it was cloaked. I then asked why it isn't that way for negative accts. and couldn't get an answer. I have your email address. I'll send you the name of the person that helped me fix some of it.
It's just odd. I didn't dispute anything. nothing changed. 2 tradelines dropped for no reason, actually. both positive. I don't buy the idea that they dropped for no reason.
When I disputed some lates on 2 of my accounts, TU deleted both files, and they were both my auto loans that I've had for more than 2 years!! One's almost paid off ($150 left)and the other one I still have about $4000 left. But my situation's a little different. TU has had 2 files on me (one w/middle initial and one w/full middle name) since November and I keep asking them to merge it. I thought they had finally done so in December, but I recently got 2 reports back again w/two different scores. On the second report by them, it does have my auto loans current so who do I contact to merge (again)? I've disputed online and put notations to merge yet they don't and I've called numerous times also telling them to merge. Does anybody know who I would be able to talk to to finally correct this and to delete one file? Thanks for any help!! Janet
Marie, That has been happening to me for a little over a year. TU has something funky going on with their database, since about 4 of my positive recent tradelines have disappeared for no reason (they were all opened less than 2 years ago). I didn't dispute them back "on" b/c I didn't really need them there. But - TU did do a "hard delete" of a car loan tradeline from my report when I had disputed that the balance was incorrect last January and I do need that one reporting. I called TU in April, mentioned that I was angry that it was gone - and the rep said "I see it here, b/c we still have it on record (yes, they DO keep dispute records). I'll put it back on for you". So, 4 months after the "hard delete", they still saw plain as day that "disappeared" trade and she simply put it back on for me. You can MAKE them reinsert it, and they will tell you some dribble about it having to be assigned a new loan account number to bypass the "hard delete" - but don't stand for it. Get a supervisor and demand that it get back on. They will do it. Same account number and all...
That may be Marie's point. Random deletion of the positive trades *only* does seem a bit odd. A few people were discussing this a few months ago and wondered if this was some punitive response to real or perceived credit repair efforts. I tend to think it is just a bad bug in their system that they aren't really trying to fix.
I don't really think it's purposeful... but why is it only the positive ones go? I actually lost a CAp1 Plat too... but I'm in the 0 percent period and its maxed... I'll let them know of their error when the balance is low. STill, I got an over 735 score so I was pretty happy... but, everybody knows, you can't rebuild to prime or better in 3 years or less after bk HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Me too. I have had several positive trades deleted by TU that were not disputed...it WAS however during a dispute of OTHER items and I just thought it was a "disgruntled" employee deleteing positives for spite because I was getting results removing the negatives. I tried to have them put back on but no luck...LKH has a contact you might want to try that helped him get them back on. At that time, I just wanted to leave TU well enough alone for a while, I was scared of losing all my positives -Peace, Dave
How is it that you all are getting the 0% apr from Cap One? You're the third person on this board to mention getting a 0% apr from Cap One. I've tried twice with both "sources" at the Executive office and they said "nothing's available for your account". I have a zero balance, great history, platinum Visa, etc... Did you opt out of the arbitration agreement? Did you opt out of marketing offers? I did both and I wonder if this is payback for doing so. I feel like GEORGE! :-(
LOL Marci. Does anyone else picture George like Charlie Brown? In my mind I keep seeing Charlie Brown in line at the Amex and Citi reconsideration department banging his head on the countertop. "I got a rock". That and the image of him opening up his sock drawer and having 50 cards fly out and attack from all the pressures of wanting to be used. Nextcard leading the revolt. Sorry George, it is simply a mental dejavu. -Peace, Dave
Lol! Yes, I do. Is Charlie Brown the one with the black cloud over his head, following him around all the time? Something tells me, though, that George secretly enjoys his various battles with the CC companies. George, I mean this all in fun, so laugh, okay?
