I was using my method I had used with Equifax - sending the bureaus complete copies of my US Court discharge from the Chap 13 - and a list of all the original creditors.

I sent this info to TU - my WORST report! It came back with 8 DELETIONS - and a very cleaned up report. I am ready for 2003!

    when was your BKdischarge date?

and were the deletions based on fact that it has been seven years from date of original filing?

    Hi Maggie - I filed Oct 96 - officially discharged 2/02.
    MAGGIE - in California:

1- Chap 13 - everything is from ORIGINAL date.
Even SHERMAN Financial - who took over the Citibank Cards debts - are listed as 1996 - but I had to set them straight, then get them off completely.
Sending an actual creditor list set TU straight on several issues - they were very helpful.

2- It is legally OK to obtain new credit while in a Chap 13 payoff mode. I paid for 5 years on my plan; I got cards and started rebuilding 30 days after Chap 13 in 1996.

    -----

2 were Sherman Financial - for Citibank - fell off - Wells Fargo - two accts fell off and others....

All were original debts included in the Chap 13 from 1996.

All fall off late 2003 and I will have a perfect record again - including about 12 pymts on an auto loan.

LOL - I sent my first TWO payments today.

My score jumped 110 points since getting the info corrected! That was comparing 6/10 (disputed info report date) tp 7/15. This is AFTER 3 inquiries for the car......fine!

I am very pleased - but too bad - If I had known this earlier, I may have gotten a lower interest rate on a car loan; but I am rebuilding on a beast car that I really friggin like.

Is The rate based on the higher or lower score?
Have you went to the lender and told them look You are charging me the wrong rate for my score.
Tell them to correct it or you will go with a lender that will finance at the lower rate.
    =============================
It's not rite paying a low scorers rate while having the higher score.
And people wonder why I'm so outspoken against FICO.
I'm not Paranoid I'm just sick and tired of the con artist and their shell game.
