I had an OLD charged-off student loan that I paid off last August. It immediately fell off EX but I had to dispute it with TU and EQ. EQ removed it but TU came back and said it was "verified, no change". I immediately disputed again and told them I had a copy of the cancelled check. Still no word but it's been less than 30 days. Here's my problem: I noticed on my report when I checked it tonight that the "verified" date on the report is 7/2001 so they didn't verify anything! If they come back to me and say "verified" again, what's my course of action?
