TU disputes

    If I don't have an official copy from TU and only a 3 in 1 from Consumer Credit Reports, will I not be able to dispute a wrong name and address on my TU report over the phone?

    You should still be able to dispute over the phone.

    I had to have a TU file number before I could get to customer service

    How about trying a fax? I got one through (re: false addresses) and processed without a file #. Fax #s to try are 714-447-6032, 716-626-1795, 610-546-4605. I can't remember which one I used offhand.
