Last week I was talking with a Trans Union Executive (and yes it was a TU Exec). Anyway, after I had said I sent something Certified Mail Return Receipt, the TU Executive inquired why I used CMRR when Trans Union just uses regular mail.

What do you think the reply from Trans Union would be if you used regular mail and were indicating to Trans Union a FCRA violation.

Of course they'd claim they never got it, or got it on a different date.

If they asked me, I'd just tell them that I use CMRR for anything I think is important, and this is very important to me.

IT PROVES WHEN THEY GOT IT

THEY CAN'T SAY THEY NEVER GOT IT

"IF" I HAVE TO TAKE YOU TO COURT BECAUSE YOU SAY YOU NEVER GOT IT...I GOT PROOF YOU DID GET IT

Trust me, a CRA will even deny a CMRRR if they are sued.

Speaking of CMRRR, is it necessary to send the letter Certified, or can it just be RRR? Since certified just proves it was sent, and that doesn't seem to be as important as proving they received it.
