All of my complaints finally paid off, I hope. I recieved an e-mail just 2 minutes ago about my fight with them deleting positive information and re-aging the Nissan and Sears accounts... I sent off a nasty e-mail ITS and wasn't nice about it. I informed her no more chances, respond in writing within 5 days or I will file (bluff). Here is her response: I aplogize for any confusion you had regarding our conversation on July 21st. It was my understanding that you did not have any additional questions when the conversation ended. In response to your recent email, I will be sending you a current copy of your credit file. The Sears and NMAC accounts have been removed, based on the inconsistances. I am still in contact with our corporate office regarding the change in the closed dates. In addition, the three accounts from Regional Acceptance and the three accounts from American General Finance have been re-instated on your credit file. As I stated in our conversation on July 21st, these accounts were removed from your file due to the limit of how much current information can be stored in your credit file, without causing you to have two files. The last updates we received from these companies were in 1995 and 1996; therefore, they have reached the 7 year time limit. It is TransUnion's policy to report trades with no adverse information for a period of 10 years; however, we are only required to report any account for 7 years per the FCRA. You should receive your modified credit file in 3-5 business days. I love the second sentence in the message, I thought you didn't have any more questions, except when you blatently lie about the FCRA
