TU giving my report to someone else

My parents are applying for a loan and when they recently went in and had their credit pulled, they got their report. One of the bureaus was of course, TU. When they got back the report, TU not only reported their info, they gave mine! It lists my accounts and SSN. I do have the same name as my father (and do everything under Jr.) but their should be no confusing the two accounts with them.

Not only should this not be happening, because of my parents going and trying multiple requests with different lenders and companies, I can only assume when all these companies check their credit, mine is being reported as well and inquiry's are building up when I have nothing to do with it.

Obviously, I need to contact them and address it but what is the best method to do so ?

notify the CRA thet you have a mixed file and tell them that you are a Jr and share the same address as your father.

dispute all the incorrect info including TL, Iquiries, address ss# etc.

and request that they correct all that info that is not yours.

It usually takes about 30 days once you request it .
I am guessing that your parents have a 3-1 report and your info came up since your ss# is on it use that report # to contact the CRA.

I would call in your case this may be better as you speak with a live person and have a name for future reference.

any further dealing should be in writing by CMRRR ( certified mail return reciept requested)

    hope this helps you :)
    good luck
