Hi Gang- Got a little inside skinny from TU today that you will think is a little interesting. I had some accounts removed today from the report and my score actually dropped. So I called to find out why and the rep explained this to me: 1. Authorized Users on accounts ARE NOT factored into your score. 2. Anything that is showing UNRATED is not being factored into the score. He also removed all AU's from my account and he also told me to call Sallie Mae and tell them to change my status so that I can have these accounts rated. The funny thing about this whole thing is that I have 17 accounts listed on my report and only 5 of them are making up myu score. GO FUGURE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AU accounts are not factored into TranUnion's worthless score, but they are factored into Fair Issac's score. Fair Issac grades AU accounts the same as joint accounts. I hate it when these idiotic reps give half truths. Ugh! Dani
