TU had two files on me with the same SSN the same File Number. The newer file is only since 2002 and has some of the same accounts as my file that has been around for Decades. Here is the the thing I need the most help with.... I Disputed and was successfull in deleting 2 late pays on the short file but the other one (More Complete) Shows the accounts as previously Verified. Here is the question how can I get TU to honor the Deletes and not the Verifieds? I spoke to TU and they say that there were two seperate files but now the files have been merged into one.

His question is since they deleted after investigation on one account are they required to give notice and/or surpress it from the combined account. The answer is a big YES! If they didn't notify you within five days of adding back to the combined account it is reinsertion. Do you have a copy of the results letter they sent after the investigation?

Re: Re: Re: TU Had Two Files on Me!!!! I had the same problem. You end up having to clean them both up anyway (since you can't know with any certainty which will get pulled on an inquiry). I called TU and got the merge done. If you have a note deleting it from your file, call them on it. They can't re-insert without notifying you in writing within 5 days.
