Several months ago, I purchased my cr directly from TU. I bought another report the other day just to see if anything had changed. I found an inq from "TU Consumer Relations" listed as having been pulled on the same date as the first cr report I bought. It was listed in the "Regular Inquiry Section", with the following parenthetical (NOTE: TransUnion consumer disclosure inquiries are not viewed by creditors). Then why don't they put it under the AR Inquiry Section? Things aren't bad enough, now I'm actually paying money to a company to lower my score? Thanks.
What makes you think those inquiries lower your score? As far as I know, they don't. You will have a TU disclosure, or what ever they call it, every time you pull your report. Just like you get with Exp and Equ.
Re: TU & hard inq. Can they do that That confused me too. Despite those inquiries being in the hard inquiries section, they don't get shown to creditors. I looked at my TU report at a car dealership and there was none listed. So they aren't lying about that. I just wish they'd list them in the soft inquiries section where they belong.
Re: TU & hard inq. Can they do that Any time YOU pull your own credit report...it CAN'T be a so-called "HARD"... Only when you APPLY for a credit card or loan can they do a "HARD"... EXCEPT FOR FARMERS INSURANCE...WHO GETS TO PULL A "HARD" TO SEE HOW I DRIVE...EVEN THOUGH I PAY BEFORE COVERAGE STARTS (NO LOAN OR CREDIT CARD WAS APPLIED FOR)!!!!!!!!!
