My husband has 2 negative items left on his TU report (out of an original 20+). Each time I submit a dispute on these items, I automatically get their letter deeming the dispute "frivolous." Surely they can't do this forever. Does anyone know how long it will be before they allow another dispute on these items?
A strongly worded letter worked for me. They labeled my dispute as frivolous and if I wanted to dispute again they requested that I send the documentation. I simply said that what documentation could I provide for an account that wasn't mine. I didn't send an intent to sue but I certainly hinted to the fact that I might. They started an investigation. Also, some people have had luck requesting procedure requests with TU. TU will sometimes put the TLs in dispute when you request procedures.
I am going to have a hard time requesting procedures. They never did an investigation! That is a good idea though. I am already a presitgious member of the "special handing department." I don't want my husband's file to end up there too. I remember reading that EXP puts a flag on the account. It expires after 6 months. I just wondered if that was the case for TU too.
tu did this to me. I called them, though, and explained that it really wasnt frivolous. Rep was nice and put it back into dispute. They verified though. Amazes me how they can verify on something that has wierd addy and different name. I dunno...still waiting for a response from my demand letter on this one. Found an atty, though, heh heh.
Hi! How are you disputing the TLs? I have had some online ones rejected, but when I fax them in they are deleted. Also try different fax numbers - I had one address deletion that I faxed to 2 diff. #s and one replied that it was illegal blah blah blah and the other said they would be updating shortly and deleted it!! -lol- Never hurts to try.
