I disputed several inq online with TU, got a letter today that says to call the creditors and ask for deletion. What else can I do?

Oh my. I got the same letter today after trying to dispute inquiries via Trans Union online site. I followed examples found here. Oh well. At least I tried. I will try again another day.

sorry to hear that. they must have closed the loop. i did the same thing last month and had more than 8 inquiries dropped without any investigation.

you can try a couple at a time via phone. that has worked for people also.

    good luck.

I also received the same message from Trans Union over the weekend. I guess I'll try over the phone.

I received an updated report after round 1 with an inquiry from May that was not on my report from 6/26/01. I have asked them to remove and I am waiting to see what they do. JOKERS!!!

I just got a report from TU, I disputed 16 inquiries online and the first page of the report says that they have completed their investigation and all 16 inquiries have been deleted, but when I look at the rest of the report the inquiries are still there and the credit score is 501 with 1 collection dispute still pending. At truecredit.com my TU score is 620 and the inquiries still show.......any idea what is going on here?

I did it in their online dispute section. When I called to speak to a customer service rep they told me they do not investigate inquiries and that I would have to contact the companies individually that pulled credit reports. I told her several times that I recieved a letter that said they have completed the investigation of the inquiries and she put me on hold came back and told me someone would be calling me.

I think they just changed their policy and are trying to weasel out of investigating these things. I think my dispute may have been just before they started sending out the refuse to investigate inquiry lettters. It will probably take a lawsuit att this point.

Naaah, they've been sending these since the beginning of time.

    Yes, but an easy one.
