When my validation letter resulted in an NCO deletion, a lawfirm put an inquiry on my report that I did not authorize. Entered online dispute, put INQUIRY in the account box, COMPANY NAME and DATE in the description box, and checked OTHER - NON PERMISSABLE PURPOSE in the reason box. Results just came back - DELETED By the way, in the ITEM column listing the deleted inquiry on the investigation results page, TU lists the item as "SUBSCRIBER INQUIRY", if there ever is a next time I would enter this exact phrase in the ACCOUNT BOX. -Peace, Dave
Less, around 20-25 days from time dispute entered to receipt of deletion notice. I have had deletions take less than 30, more than 30 and exactly 30 so I would not put any weight into the response time of this inquiry deletion though. -Peace, Dave
I used the same method except the phrase "Not Authorized" in the Other reason box... Five inquiries deleted 2 weeks after I sent the online dispute. I had tried before via fax and gotten their standard reject letter. It appears online is the way to go for inquiries with TU. Good luck... Scoob
I agree Scoob, that is why I posted this. Maybe others with falsely placed TU inquiries can find similar results as well. Thanks for posting your results. -Peace, Dave
I just did 4 of them. I figured, why not? I'll do the other 4 after these are done. Lizardking, how did it go with your 18 disputes?? I'm anxious to hear!
