TU investigation

    I did an online dispute w/ TU, and the 30 days end today. I have not heard a peep from them. I'm planning on sending a letter Monday demanding they delete. This is my 1st round of disputing with TU...what should I expect from them? Are they going to give me a hassle about it or just delete like they are REQUIRED to!

    They have 5 days from the 30th day in which to notify you of the results. I'm sure you'll get an updated report Tuesday or Wednesday. I would suggest at this point you not send any demand letters. If by the middle of the week you haven't received anything, then by all means, threaten away.

    Velouria,

    I just had a 30-day wait with EX end yesterday.

    I spent the last 10 days on pins and needles thinking about calling for an "update". Somehow I was able to resist the temptation. It wasn't easy. The report I had in hand said the results were due 9/21/02 and I was committed to waiting until Monday the 23rd to call and check.

    Well, last night I checked CE and both items were gone. Today I checked CE again and my score jumped 99 points to 730! Believe me, it was worth the wait.

    I have 2 more I'm waiting on with TU and I don't dare call to check until the 30th. I'm hoping I have the same good luck.

    I know it's hard, but the payoff is the greatest.

    Hang in there and you will be there before you know it.

    Thanks guys...you know, I wish TU would join the rest of us in the year 2002, lol. Their website sucks...you can dispute online, but can't check the status/results of an investiagation??? Even though Experian has not been very kind to me in terms of deletions...I like the fact that I can check CreditExpert every day.
