I disputed my husbands CR w/ TU online, and they sent ME a letter saying they needed both of our signatures and ssn's before they can do a dispute. I don't know why. Maybe because I used the same computer? I guess it's possible that I put in my name by mistake, but I don't think so. Should I send the form back, or should I try to redispute?? I really need to get moving on his reports, as they are so much worse than mine.

    TIA

I don't think it has anything to do with which computer you use - different family members use the same computers all the time and don't have this problem.

CRA's tend to try to get you to verify for them, by asking you to surrender information related to the dispute. Generally speaking, you shouldn't send them any info without checking on the ramifications - which is what you're doing, of course! :)

Exactly what are you trying to dispute, that triggered this request?

I disputed 6 items--most in collections, and I updated his employer. The thing I found weird, is that MY name was the one on the envelope, not his. Strange, huh?

Sounds like maybe you entered your name somewhere by mistake.

That's what I think!! Do you think it's ok to send in our signatures? They want our ss #'s too, which is no biggie, but the whole signature thing makes me nervous. Do you think it's ok?

Yeah, I think I would do it, in this case. Gotta be careful with those name things, hehe.
