TU nows uses a different verification process, instead of entering your cc # and limit, loan amount and if you had installments, they ask you 3 questions and ask the range of the amounts, I know I got them right but guess TU didn't think so, they locked me out for 30 days LOL.

Just a warning make sure you know your limits and amounts to the letter.

I liked the old way better:(

Same here, but I was only locked for 7 days. I guess that means you're a bigger risk to society.

    LOL

Funny thing is I answered all the questions correctly, guess after my LONG lockout I will answer them wrong LOL

I have a lot of problems with TU not doing anything with my online investigations. I've been so out of it, I haven't followed through. This time, duh, I printed it all out and will nail them after the 30 days. As for the questions, yup, same here!

I've the same experience. Seems written disputes work better for me. My online disputes are ignored!

I tried yesterday and noticed they were doing it differently. I know I answered the questions correctly (and I had my report in front of me). I'm locked out for 7 days.

Wonder what you have to do to get locked out for 30? Guess we "7-day-ers" just aren't that dangerous. Darn... I've always wanted to be dangerous....lol

Well, since I have verification of my online dispute, they have no excuse. It is their choice to offer me that alternative so that should make it a clear-cut remove them after 30 days of no response. I did get a stupid response but not on my disuptes, on my inquiries. We all know the kind I got. Anyway, they ignored the others. I'm going to use it for my advantage!

I have a question about TU, I disputed online on 6/2 and pulled a report on 6/21. The items I'm disputing are not showing up as "In Dispute". Is this something I can nail TU on after the 30 days?

The same thing happened to me. It wouldn't even let me order online and have it mailed. So, I decided to immediately go through again and ask for one to be sent to my address. It ended up letting me view it online instead. I don't know if it will work but it is worth a try.

What bothers me is they are always talking about the integrity of their system. What a bunch of crap. I am now living for the day when they exist no more.

1*How can a con job have
    integrity?
2*I agree the thing is a scam but according to DOCK we need it.

We do need some sort of system that accurately looks at a person's ability to pay and willingness to pay. As a business owner I extend credit and I need to know when a person is a deadbeat.

That said, the companies aren't doing their job and need to be replaced with companies that do. Your right it's a scam, and most probably a criminal scam. I like the idea of Ricco.

They can "SEE" how someone DRIVES by the F.I.C.O. score...WRONG!!!!!!!!

You have BAD credit...(reason not important) NO ACCIDENTS, NO TICKETS...YOU ARE A BAD DRIVER...

They can "SEE" how somebody pays their bills by their F.I.C.O. score...WRONG!!!!!!!!

They DON'T give enough credit for 24+ years of PERFECT PAYMENTS...they just SUBTRACT points because of "EXCESSIVE CREDIT LIMITS"...and WRONG "MIX"...

One of the questions they asked me was about an account that they deleted four months ago. Needless to say, I gave the wrong answer! I was locked out for seven days too. They can bite me.

Well, no response after 30 days to my dispute online with TU and nothing marked as in dispute so on to my next step.

    NanaC,

What is your next step? I too disputed some things on 6/2, and haven't heard anything yet. But, they do still have a few days.

I'm going to use the second letter (after 30 days) posted here, modified just a bit for my own personal stuff.

I'm keeping records and will sue if necessary. (Boy, I'm getting brave!)

Probably not. I disputed inquiries and they concluded their investigation within a few days. The 30 day thing is only the maximum limit they have to complete the investigation. My inquiries remain on the report.

Now if you could prove that they received your request to investigate and that they never investigated at all. That would be another matter.

The credit industry is screwing both consumers and business.
The only ones coming out ahead are the CRAs ,FICO, Insurers& creditors.
