I just tried to get my free report from TU by stating I'm unemployed and they said they cannot verify that I qualify for a free report. That's never happened before. I wonder if they're cracking down on giving out reports?

I tried it this morning and it works. I used the denied credit reason.

I used the public assistance one and it went through.

I had always used the denied for credit one, but I started getting the verification page.

    Just a suggestion:

You should not use the "unemployed, will be seeking employment" option when ordering a free report from TU. The reason, it could find its way to the employment section on your report, and just doesn't look good when applying for credit that pulls from them.

I never even though of that, mindcrime. It used to say unemployed on my report but I made them change it to "homemaker" (not that that probably looks any better, but I don't consider myself unemployed. I just don't get paid, LOL.)
