i disputed an item with all three cra's. eq & ex deleted. i disputed same item on tu (online), i got an email saying its in the investigation process. just found out that they are NOT showing it as a dispute. they just left it in. which tactic should i do? this pisses me off, they have done this before. i disputed all three cra's online, tu is the only one not acknowledging it. HELP!

tu never shows anything as being disputd, which is an fcra violation. Their system is very antiquated when it comes to this.

thanks, any sample letters i can send? i'm pissed. thankfully my credit score is high enough to apply for loan, but it makes me so mad that i have the same item deleted from other two, while tu doesnt even show it as being disputed!!! sample letter suggestions? i looked on the sample letters doc wrote, but didnt see one that pertained to this situation.

Gosh, there really isnt a sample letter for this. I sent tu a demand letter because they are reporting that I filed bk on an account when I didnt. I think I included a paragraph on this, but I dont think it could be incorporated into a sample letter. I think I quoted it as another violation they have comitted in addition to the false reporting of my information (there is a class action pending against tu for reporting bk's on co-signors reports when they havent filed). I am sure you can send them a letter, but I guarentee you will get some worthless form letter in reponse to yours. Thats what they did to me. Getting ready to fire one back at them though, along with a petition to sue. I will post if I think of something for ya.

Why send a letter when they may just correct the problem? Then you will no longer have them on a violation.

Document everything, you want a laundry list of violations. This is your leverage against them if you ever need to take them to small claims court in the future.

    Here's a great thread:

Do a serch on "petition". You MAY find something, not sure. Tu has another 11 days to respond, so we'll see what happens. If I were you, I would wait until the investigation is completed, though. you may get a deletion, which would be what you are pursiong, right? For now, print your credit report as proof that the item wasnt marked in dispute. Keep a copy of your transmission requesting the dispute as well. Let them rackem up as ryder has stated. The more violations, the better off you are. Just sit tight and let them screw themselves first. Then its your turn, lol.
