I just got a free look at my report online and it had an entry in the Special Messages Section (just below the Consumer Statement Section) of:

    ****HAWK-ALERT:Clear for all searches performed***

Does anyone know what this is? Could it mean they've "flagged" my report?

    TIA

You are ok. What it means is that no one has used your address or any other information fraudulently that they know of. They did not flag your profile. Don't worry.

I'm begining to wonder if people are getting too many answers too easily. This is at least the third time this same question has been asked in the last week. And thoroughly answered....

Maybe a search on past posts before starting a new thread?

    Thoughts?

It could just be that since he/she has only posted 25 times is NOT familiar with the search function. I have been posting and reading for along time and only in the past month figured out how to work the search function and still have some problems with it today. I'm not trying to be defensive, but maybe a tutorial on using the search function would be useful, I know for me it would be. Sometimes I search and don't come up with anything close to what I'm searching for and I don't know how to search by specific post or author, I just type in a keyword and pray. :)

ps The TU deletion worked for me Bkev, I had 4 inquiries removed.

    Christi:

Every teacher in every public school understands quite well that they would be asked the same question over and over again by each and every student if they did not have a course outline and a lesson plan in place that would take them through the school year. They would be endlessly going around in circles answering the same questions over and over again and seldom teaching anything new.

It is one of the great benefits of the internet that one can take the questions of the newbies and put them on a website that answers their questions for them if they will but take the time and trouble to read what is placed there for them.

However, it is a sad fact of life that whatever man puts in place for the benefit of his fellows will always be defeated at the earliest possible opportunity by those he hoped to help.

    Such is life.

I don't know how much I have posted, but I would appreciate someone telling me how to email someone. This is slightly off topic, but this is all new to me and I am not a computer genius.

PS. I have also noticed the HAWK ALERT on mine--must be something new.

    That particular Hawk means:

None of the processed HAWK searches generated an indication of potential fraud.

    And to:

    Continue processing the application.

Trans Union has a HAWK dbase which contains social security numbers, addresses, and phone numbers that have been, or are fraudulently used on credit applications.

The "Clear" is a *good* thing!
