I just talked to a rep at TU. I have a collection showing for $53 for a radiologist in a city I have never been to.

Investigated - verify'd 12/02 - date of verifcation remains 8/01, which is when it was placed.

TU - Yes, it was verifie'd, but they chose to not update.

I explained to her that I have contacted this company several times requesting proof of claim or delete. To date have never recieved anything from them.

So I asked the TU Rep to provide me with copy's of the proof they sent TU to justify their verification.

She explains, 'They do not get any proof of claim, only a 'letter' stating verify'd. She tells me to contact the BBB. End of discussion.

I also went over this with Experian. The rep there said she would send a request for the company to delete due to failure to provide me with proof of claim.

Where do I go with TU? This is my last neg with them that is inaccurate.

Send a letter CRRR to the OC asking for proof of the debt in question. If they do not respond or respond stating that the debt is not yours, send a new dispute to TU with copies of everything you sent/received from the OC. If TU still refuses to investigate or if they claim to have "verified", then take them to small claims court and sue them for every violation of the FCRA that you can possibly think of.

Don't settle for a deletion. They need to start paying for their arrogance and wanton disregard for the law.
