I call TU today to check on the status of a dispute that I placed on 5-19-03 and was told by Ernie that they did not receive a dispute and do not have a dispute. That item was never disputed by them and I can now dispute it if I like. I told Ernie that I had a receipt and could fax it in to him right now. Ernie did not know for sure what to do so he puts me on hold and comes back and tells me that I do not need to fax it in and that they will pull it from there records(I thought they did not have a record?) and it will be handled in 5 business days. I told Ernie that it had already been 30 days and that they did not have any more time left. He told me there was nothing they could do and that I would have to wait an another 5 business days. I told him that they already had used there 5 business days and that I wanted to speak to a supervisor. He told me that I could not speak to a supervisor because "one was not available"(how convenient). I told him that I would hold and he tells me that one will call me back and that I cannot hold. How do I deal with this A**holes now?? Please advise?

    1. Keep calling back until you do get a supervisor.
    2. Fax an Intent to Sue - that usually gets their attention.

Edit - Its only been 30 days today. They now have 5 business days to get a report to you. You need to lay low until next Thursday.
