Just looked at my updated TU report online and had a very pleasant surprise-they removed 8 out of 12 hard inquiries from my report. I disputed 8 at once and they are all gone. I just couldn't wait to get to the bottom of the report to see my new and improved score. You know the rest of the story, my score actually went down 25 points. The TU score they give us online is complete and total bunk, with no basis whatsoever in reality. The only positive thing about the tu score is that it actually makes FICO look rational. I was going to dispute those last four inquiries, but then I'll probably lose another 20 points.
Wow, they deleted 8 inquiries for you? They keep telling me they can't delete inquiries. How strange. Congrats for you anyways Wish I could get your results.
Congrats on the deletion success. Did anything else change, at all, that could account for the score drop? Like a balance reporting? Did your reason codes change? I can't get a inquiry deleted to save my life! I've disputed them on all 3 multiple times and they always remain. I was able to get one off of EQ that really was without permissable purpose, thats it.
I signed the letter with my name and underneath put "attorney at law". Finally, the $100,000 I wasted on my law school education pays some dividends. I don't practice anymore, but the signature line comes in handy once in a while. I just noticed that they took it upon themselves to change my employment to "attorney at law" in the personal info section. Oh well, I think I'll fire off a few more disputes and then have them correct this info. BTW, I did mix and match the disputes, a couple certified letters, a few on line disputes, and two by phone. Strangely, they all came off the same day, today. I checked yesterday and they were still on there.
