Thanks to all the posters that continually offer sound advice and keep this forum a postive learning environment. I suspect I currently have a file split with Transunion and I am considering having it merged back together. The file I can view through TrueCredit reports a file that does not contain one active tradeline within the last 6 months. It shows I have a score of 602 but it contains several TL's that have been charged off. I initially didnt want them to be merged to take advantage of the low amount of debt outstanding but now I am ready to see the full picture(I have over 10 accounts of which are not showing). When I contacted Truecredit today they informed me that I should go directly to each creditor and ask them to report but I am sure all of my creditors are reporting to all 3 bureaus. What is the best way to get the split file merged or should I just leave it alone. Any advice?
It's up to you whether you want to merge or not to merge, if they are split. First, order your true credit report. If when you get your true credit report, you can write a letter saying "Files split, please merge." That's all there is to it...
