TU Stupidity

It's getting near the end of the year, so it's time once again for me to get my free credit report from all 3 bureaus as I am entitled to being resident of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Well, I got my TU report and I noticed that I now have a HAWK Alert on it. I also noticed that (once again, after having it corrected last year after much correspondance) they have mangled my: name, current address, former address, and employer. I have two different versions of my name on there (with a different middle initial), 4 different versions of my current address (which is a Post Office Box. C'mon TU people, how hard can it be to get that right? There's no confusing compass directions, or other abbreviations on it), two different versions of my former address, one with the old zip code, and one with the new zipcode that was changed in 1998, and three different mangled spellings of the name of my employer. (Would someone tell me any word in the English language, or a proper name in ANY language that contains three 'F's in a row?) Meg's Mufffins? Dafffy Duck? Hufffman-Koos? Marshmallow Flufff? Pfeffernuse comes close, but there is an 'e' wedged in there.

When I inquired as to what this "HAWK Alert" thing was, I got back this stupid explanation from them that it was to "alert creditors of potentially incorrect information in my fffile that they might wish to make an effort to verifffy." EXCUSE ME!? You (TU) were the people that PUT the WRONG information in my credit fffile in the fffirst place, you morons!. In January of 2001 I fffinally had it all corrected and now it's all screwed (thought I was going to use the fff-word, eh?) up again. Clearly these people don't pay any attention to anything that they do and are quite happy with very low quality perffformance on the part of their data entry personnel.

I think I'll take a couple of Buffferin before I write yet another letter to these fffools.
