I have an item (an unpaid repo) listed on my TU report that I have disputed twice online and both times this item was 'verified' with the OC. I have since sent a letter restating my dispute, and giving them further info regarding the dates. TU never responded to my CRRR letter (it was signed for by TU in Feb) and never listed the accounts as "in dispute". Do both of these factors constitute violations? Can I use this as leverage to get this item deleted? What should my next step be here? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
HI Kingfish From want you described you definately have them on 2 violations. I would send them a combination Procedural Request and ITS letter. Look at the sample letters here and at www.creditreportrights.com. Others have found TU easy to deal with after an ITS. If not actually file the case and settle for deletions. Good luck.
