Okay, I just got new TU report with a judgment deleted and providian deleted. I am expecting a huge score increase, SCORE GOES DOWN 20 PTS.

HELP ME SOMEBODY..... is it because providian was from 1998 and the age of the account was more helpful than the three late pays in 2000 late pays..... but the judgement was less than two years old.

now it says: too many collection accounts as number one factor for low score, when before it was public records ..... lb brown may be right..... i really was expecting TU to jump into 600's score is a pitiful 533!

will providian update when they report????

TU is notorious for stealing points

Were any positive trade lines gone?

They also deleted a positive trade lines of mine.

    I disputed the balance only!

I have lost more points disputing w/ TU than the others.

    Random Generator Number

    A few gain most loose

I had 2 medical collection accounts deleted and lost 44 pts.

Sorry I am not much help.

OK- so I am guessing that the age of acounts/tradelines plays a significant role with TU score. I think the reason my score plunged in December was a NEW collection account appeared- old debt, new tradeline- when this one just came off, my score jumped up significantly. Account age may have played a role in the second fall of my credit score in January... they deleted an account with lots of old lates but reporting pays as agreed (with a long history on it too)... my score dropped another 20 points with this delete.

We've talked about this one before...lol. I started with 11 derogs...I think...now have 4 and my score has only gone up by 20 points. On EX, I started with 12, have 2 left and my score is lower than it was before I started.

I'm starting to think I should have just left well enough alone...lol.

When neg accts are the oldest and get deleted, sometimes the result can be a loss of points. Their age is no longer counted in the length of total accts . Marie explained in another thread that all accts are considered when the length of accts is totaled. What I think happens is this: credit goes bad..can't open new accts for a while....bad accts age more so subprime lenders approve...start repair and delete old bad accts...length of accts drop...only newer accts remain...score remains low. I guess one needs to start repair as soon as accts go bad. However, I bet it's nearly impossible to repair extremely fresh negs.
