Applied for the Citi Silver and Gold two weeks ago today. I had a EXP score of 655. Don't know my other scores. Got the rejection for the gold last Friday, saying that they only allow one application per solicitation. I'm not sure what that means. Got the rejection on the Silver last night, saying that I had made too many cash advances on my current Citi card. But, that was about one year ago. Since then, I have paid down my Citi by $8,000 and other creditors by about $12,000. I may call and see if I can get a reconsideration. I want the card for BT's. How long do I have to wait before applying again? Or, is it just a waste of an inquiry? They pulled Equifax. When I got my first card, they pulled Experian. When I asked for an automatic increase in my credit line, they pulled TU.
I forgot to mention that part of the reason my score was not higher was that Citi has not reported my account to the CRA's for over five months and therefore the $7500 I sent in to pay down my balance is not reflected in my score.
