Now that I know I am a tweener please tell me how long it takes to graduate from tweenerdom and start getting normal credit card offers. I am highly embarassed using my green marble Capital One card out in public. Yea, it has a $2,000 limit but it is still secured by $600 which, frankly, I would like to have back for incidentals such as food and water (forgive me if i need to survive). Ideally I would like to have a Citibank card and I also want an American Express 'Blue' but I have only an 18 month old credit history due to years of a bad debts which were recently deleted. At present I have a $20k student loan consolidation. Then the Capital One Visa - and that's it. Should I apply for a Citibank or just wait until I build a longer history.
