I am 48 and remember most of the Rod Serling Twilight Zone and Night Gallery episodes. I was spellbound-so to speak by one show where a lady was being given ONE LAST CHANCE at receiving a high limit credit card; BUT THERE WAS A PENALTY - one slight little catch! IF THE LADY WAS 1 SECOND LATE past the due date, one important family member would be given to the "DEVIL Bank" and would be gone from the family forever. Irregardless, and quite irresponsibly I now realize, the lady hungrily grabs the shiny fire red credit card! After the lady takes the card and uses it, sure enough, she is late in a payment. After a few minutes she realizes she hasn't seen FIDO in the last few hours - and realizes FIDO is DEVILmeat...! (THIS particular incident is very scary to some one named FIDO - he is a distant cousin of Dogman. Hehe.) The lady is somehow late on the next payment and the show ended - I think - with the Devil Cardmember crying out for her lost daughter.....!!!! Talk ABOUT NO GRACE PERIOD!........ LOL!!!! We should all thank GOD we have any credit AT ALL without having to resort to the BIG FINANCE COMPANY BELOW! Arf Arf Arf! Dogman
wow, Dogman!!! Amazing! could it be this one? THE CARD * Writer: Michael Cassutt * Director: Bradford May * Cast: Susan Blakely, Virginia Kiser, William Atherton * A compulsive shopper discovers that her new credit card has very stiff penalties for late payments. http://www.geocities.com/john_75915/links/tzone.html
Dogman, The post was so real that I actually don't know if this was an episode from twilight Zone or not! You brought back a memory for me. Of how talented Rod Serling was and down to earth. In 1972, when I was a kid, my family was having dinner on the Santa Monica pier. Mr. Serling, wife and 2 daughters sat down for dinner at the table next to us. Very nice family. Mr. Serling looked so healthy. I was saddened at his death 3 years later.
Did you get his autograph? Is TZ on cable or satellite at this time? I know re-runs are on a cycle...(here then gone)...
Actually - No. It was nice because I never saw one person bother Mr. Serling. Everyone looked but treated him with respect. Jim
I GOT TO FLY ON THE SAME JET AS LORNE GREEN SUMMER 1968 TWA LAX~BOS...WOW... He came back to see us in coach...how amazing!!!
