Contacted the local cable company today re:an invalid collection (they said I owed them equipment but I didn't.) The CSR is to mail me a copy of the letter going to the CA to have them remove the entry from my CR. The other one is a CAP 1 CC that I *never* had but has shown as a CO for a couple of years. I've never been able to get rid of it. On a whim, I called CAP 1 and was given a 2nd #. Called that and told my situation, was put on hold for a min. or two and the woman came back and said, yep, someone applied using your SSN and we'll send notice to the CRAs within 72 hrs. She's also to mail me a copy of the letter. And, tomorrow, I'm sending disputes as "not mine" for a few other collections and lates and getting some names/addresses removed from EX that I found were not mine so we'll see how that goes....
