I have a Sears account that is old 7 years old. I just received a letter from RMA trying to collect the debt. I got them deleted off my CR last year. (RMA) On my CR there is a Cbusasears. They both have the same account#. Cbusasears is in good standing on my CR and I have not sent them a cent. My question is this can 2 different CA own my Sears account?

-FIRST off, CBUSASEARS IS YOUR SEARS ACCOUNT :)

-SEARS sold a lot, if not all their credit accounts to CITI-Group, hence "CB" :)

-What is weird is that one is + and the other is - (I assume)

-I had the same issues with "RMA-Sears Project" a few years back. I sued RMA in Superior Court and in Federal Court.

-I am also sueing Sears in Federal Court currently for inpermissible access. Thier computers automatically pull FORMER AND CURRENT account holder's credit reports REGARDLESS IF THE ACCOUNT IS CLOSED OR EVEN SOLD!

-Check your credit report for inquries from Sears:)

-I would send a dispute to the reporting agencies in the meatime disputing the SEARS account as a DUPLICATE TO THE POSITVE CBUSA ACCOUNT! :)
