Hello! First I was wondering why would Cap One who I settled with on 10/98 show up on credit reports; Pays as agreed, shared but otherwise undesign (?)and actually a credit of $63.00??? And still updating on account as of 5/02. Thought it was a little strange, anybody fill me in on what this may mean. All 3 reports same. Thanks. Also I have read about some writing re-consideration letters to creditors who denied them for credit, well fiance applied for the AT+T card and they replied saying report showed one delinquent account either paid or unpaid, if incorrect to send new report within 30 days. I would like to send a reconsideration letter to them along with new report. Any body have any samples?? Unable to find on search. Thanks Momof5
If the account is showing in the positive section of your report, and for all purposes shows no balance, I would leave it be. Not quite sure if there are any generic letters floating around, however, a re-consideration letter is something that would be very simple. Basically, you're asking them to reconsider your credit application, include a copy of a new updated report, explain that the previous derogatory info was being reported incorrectly, and has since been removed, and you would appreciate them approving you for a card.
It shows up on all reports as negative with 8 lates, strange to because it says "pays as agrees". Maybe the pays as agrees is pretaining to being reported now with a $63 credit balance and opened. I'm thinking I would have to call to close the account, I thought they would have done that already. Any advice?
